Did you know Tyler has been a guitar teacher for 4 years? And he’s played for nearly 12!
Tyler was born and raised in Springfield, MO and first got into comedy through his high school speech and debate team. At the age of 16 he won a stand-up comedy event at a speech tournament and went on to win the following year, too. From there he took his two experiences with stand-up to the big leagues: competing in The Skinny Improv’s own Deadpan Comedy Festival in 2007…and winning it. Tyler had lived on a steady diet of stand-up comedy (he has opened for such comedians as Bo Burnham, Mike Birbiglia, Loni Love, and Yakov Smirnoff, to name a few) until friend and former Mainstage cast member, Leah Gunn, encouraged him to audition to be in Improv Sportz. He made it through, took classes, fell in love with another form of comedy and has been doing improv ever since.
