2011-2012 Springfield Playhouse Announces  for Auditions for “Rapunzel” by Jessica Landis and directed by Amanda Wheeler

Springfield Mo- Auditions for Springfield Playhouse and The Skinny Improv’s production of “Rapunzel” will be held:

Monday January 30th, 2012 at 7pm at the The Creamery Arts Center Board Room at 411 N. Sherman Parkway
Springfield, MO 65802

Those auditioning will be asked to do cold readings from the script.

Cast requirements: All adult cast

Rapunzel is scheduled to run March 3-17, 2012 Saturdays 11:30 & 2pm at The Skinny Improv located above Nonna’s Italian Cafe at 306 South Avenue Springfield Mo 56806;  .

Springfield Playhouse and The Skinny Improv announces Production Dates and Tickets Now on Sale to “Rudolph”
The Springfield Playhouse is excited to announce Rudolph by Jeff Jenkins.

Children are invited to arrive 30 minutes prior to show start to help decorate the set. Rudolph runs the 1st three Saturdays in December: the 3rd, 10th, and 17th at 11:30am and 2pm. Tickets are $5 and include free popcorn!

The play centers around Glowy and Sparkles, the Elves. They retell the tale of the most-famous reindeer of all in this action-packed holiday treat. This original script is written by Jeff Jenkins, directed by Meg Rice.

A Christmas Carol, a satirical staged reading of the holiday classic

The Skinny Improv announces auditions for for its satirical reader’s theatre style presentation of the  Charles Dickens’ classic ”A Christmas Carol” performed at The Skinny Improv in downtown Springfield.

About A Christmas Carol:

Have fun with the holidays and come get silly with us as we take a comical turn in the spirit of an old-fashioned, timeless Dickens’ Christmas classic. Once again, Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and, of course, Ebenezer Scrooge himself bring 19th-century London to life in Springfield’s favorite Christmas tradition.

A Christmas Carol will be directed by Jeff Jenkins.

This is a laugh out loud, funny adaptation of the classic children’s story The Three Little Pigs.  The Big Bad Wolf is on the prowl and looking to take down the Pigg brothers and their newly constructed homes. The Pigg brothers are out on their own and looking to make their place in the world but The Big Bad Wolf would love to crash the brothers party and new found freedom. By learning to depend on each other rather than trying to make it on their own The Three Piggs can hopefully protect themselves and their family.

Theatre. Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script.
Production dates are Saturdays July 2, 9, and 16, with special performances for scheduled field trips the weekdays of July 11th to July 14th.
