The Skinny Improv Comedy Theatre Announces its Spring Session of Improv Classes
The Winter session of Level 1 improv classes will begin Monday, March 26 at 6 p.m. It will run for two hours once a week for the duration of 8 weeks, March 26-May14, 2012. The class will take place at the Skinny Improv located at 306 South Avenue above Nonna’s Italian Cafe
.
The classes teach basic improvisation techniques, such as initiation of the scene and agreement. The participants will focus on learning how to feel comfortable on stage and create improv scenes.
The cost of the 8-week class is $160. However, if the participants decide to do the internship, which includes, but is not limited to helping with the box office and concessions, the cost will drop to $80.
Interested parties will be asked to fill out a registration form and return with a $50 deposit to hold their place in class. Space is limited.
Improv games and scenes can benefit every aspect of everyday life by building confidence of the participants, sharpening their leadership skills, as well as developing their creativity and listening skills.
The participants are guaranteed to be able to showcase their talent at the end of the 8-week class session in the short graduation show for relatives and friends.
